So we did it! We survived for 24 days with no soft drinks, excess sugar, salt, and living on HEALTHY food. I didn’t die from lack of Mello-Yellow or coffee, although I did really miss salt. I felt like ALL our food was really bland, BUT I don’t like spicy food and a lot of the recipes called for a lot of spices and adding hot sauce in the end to add a boost of flavor, but that’s just not for me.
I was really excited to wake up this morning and weigh and then my hopes and dreams were crushed. I have only lost 1.4 pounds in the 2 week max phase. Is that a misnomer? Shouldn’t that be where the majority of the weigh comes off? I lost 2.375″ total this time around as well. So a grand total for me equals 6.2 pounds and 7.145 inches. I am really hoping the weight issues has to do with me going to the gym these last two weeks and swapping fat for muscle. I have been working my butt off and I don’t feel like I have anything to show for it except the world’s smallest tricep starting to pop up.
Kyle on the other hand did fantastic! Why do men lost weight more easily than women do? For the max phase he lost 7 pounds and 4.75 inches bringing his grand total to 15 pounds and 12.75 inches. You can tell just by looking at him, even with clothes on, that he has lot a LOT! I am really proud of him. He says he still wants to lose more, so I ordered a few more products to continue with now that the challenge is over.
We are going to continue on our healthy eating journey and cook healthy throughout the week. We both liked having leftovers for lunch which helped us eat well instead of just grabbing crap. I am looking forward to a cheat day on the weekend, though, to eat that big fat juicy cheeseburger and fries I have been wanting. I am going to the gym 3 days a week and even hired a personal trainer. I am loving this new me and I hope to continue to lose weight and tone up!
