I have been anxiously awaiting fix #5 and it came a day early! SO exciting… Until I read the note that my stylist was on vacation. I have had the same stylist since my first fix and I LOVE HER! She has done such a great job that I asked for there to be a note in my file that she is permanent. Sara did a great job, but I really hope Jaycie is truly on vacation and that’s not SF code for “no longer styling for us.” In my note I mentioned a lake vacation and beach vacation we have coming up in July. I asked for cool, breezy items and Sara delivered! I obviously couldn’t wait to try these on until I had fixed my hair and put on makeup, so please excuse the messy selfies in bad lighting!
The first item I pulled out of the box is the Renee C Alecia Abstract Print Maxi Dress. LOVE IT. Soft, breezy, bright, colorful… Perfect for the beach! I love maxi dresses and bright colors, so this is right up my alley.
Next is the 41Hawthorn Kasey Stripe Hem Fit & Flare Dress. This was referenced in my note as being perfect for the 4th of July. We are going to a lake for a week for the 4th and I hope to be very low-key and not even take my makeup, but I love the way this fits and feels so I am definitely keeping it and saving it for another occasion. It would look cute with red sandals and a red clutch for a pop of color.
These aren’t meant to be worn together but that’s just how I tried them on. The THML Thelma Embroidered Top and the Dear John Finnegan Roll Cuff Chino Shorts. The top I love! Really cute and unlike anything I have received so far. It has a cute criss-cross back and the bright embroidery on the shoulders. The shorts I am really unsure of. I typically don’t wear anything shorter than Bermudas, but I am working my butt off so I am trying to step out of my comfort zone. I just can’t figure out how to style these. The tag says tan, but are they tan and olive, tan and navy… I can’t tell, so I have no idea what color top to wear with them.
Lastly is the FUN2FUN Abraham Henley Blouse. I love this one as well! Cute colors, great fit, and I love the fun print.
All in all I’d say this is a fantastic fix! I am on the fence about the shorts, but for now I have decided to keep them and maybe give them a try. To see all the items I’ve kept from previous fixes you can visit my Pinterest board here.
If you’re new to my blog, you might be wondering… What is Stitch Fix? Stitch Fix is an online personal styling service that will send you 5 pieces in a box. You pay a $20 styling fee up front in order for a stylist to choose pieces for you. Once the box arrives you can try everything on then choose what to keep. There is a 25% discount for keeping all 5 pieces. Before you get started there is a style profile you fill out so your stylist can know your preferences. You can choose to receive no jewelry like I have, or you can leave all the options open and receive clothes, jewelry, and/or an accessory each time. You can set up automatic shipments as frequently as every 2-3 weeks, or you can choose to do manual shipments and tell Stitch Fix when you’d like to receive a box. They also have a referral system where you can receive a $25 credit for every person who signs up through your link and purchases a fix. So really, even if you hate everything in the box, which I highly doubt you will, you’re only out $20. You can ship everything back with a prepaid envelope and choose whether to get another fix next month. If you leave detailed feedback about your items, keep your style profile updated, make a note about any upcoming special occasions or vacations, and link to your Pinterest, you’re bound to have a great fix!
