That is the question… As I mentioned in my previous Stitch Fix post, using the new iPhone app we are able to see what we are getting before it actually arrives. If you’re not new to Stitch Fix then you know we could *actually* do this before the iPhone app launched by clicking “check out” on the website once our fix shipped. So if you’re like me, then you peek. I have peeked for all my fixes except ONE and it ended up being the best fix I have received so far. Was that because I let it be a complete surprise? Would peeking have changed my opinions about those items? No idea… But I have come to the conclusion that I don’t need to peek anymore.
I peeked for my last fix, number 11 and it was pretty much a bust… I was really disappointed when looking at the list of items that were coming and tried not to let it get me down. They could potentially be much better in person. That wasn’t really the case… I kept 2 but the other 3 were so bad and so far off from what I was expecting. I should have learned my lesson that time and not peeked at fix #12 coming up, but I did it anyway and I am even more disappointed this time!
This is what I am getting. The ONLY thing I am excited about is the Urban Expressions tote… A pencil skirt for a SAHM? I have never worn a pencil skirt in my life, don’t even really wear skirts. Maybe once a year. I can’t find pictures of 3 of them, so they will be a surprise and who knows, maybe I will be pleasantly surprised and love them! I did ask for a puffer coat, but I love the look of the Savanna that Maria received. Maybe this one will be just as cute! I have had the same stylist since day one and I am beginning to feel like maybe she is tired of styling me. Usually her choices are spot on and I LOVE my fixes, but I have been feeling pretty lackluster lately. My fix is supposed to arrive on November 14th, but tracking says it won’t arrive until the 16th. Stay tuned to see the items and what I ended up keeping!
For those of you who are addicted to Stitch Fix, do you peek or let your fixes be a surprise? Let a comment and let me know your thoughts! I can’t figure out what’s better…. To be disappointed ahead of time, or be disappointed when I open the box. Maybe I should just stop being a Debbie Downer all together!
