Fix day! My favorite day… I was so excited to see what Jaycie sent me this time. I am ready for fall weather, but it’s slow coming to Mississippi. In my note I requested a light jacket/cardigan for cooler nights at Disney, some Bermudas to take, and I wanted to try a pair of fun Emers.
First out of the box was the 41Hawthorn Filbert 3/4 Sleeve Popover Blouse. Cute style, love the color, but it was too tight in the chest. Going up a size I think would be too big everywhere else so it’s going back.
Next up was the Emers. I have seen these ALL over the board and wanted to try them. I am a SAHM so I really don’t have any place to wear them since they are dressier than skinny jeans, but I love the way they fit! They fit perfectly everywhere and gave me a butt that I don’t have. However, I JUST bought a pair of Liverpool pull on pants in the same color, so I can’t keep these. Maybe I can try another color/pattern, though.
I am IN LOVE with the Skies Are Blue Mayven Abstract Print Blouse. It is gorgeous in person and right up my alley! I am keeping this one and it will be going with me next weekend on my girls trip.
Next up is the Laila Jayde Placer Knit Ponch. LOVE this! It is going to be so cute this fall/winter with boots and skinny jeans or leggings. It is super soft and I can’t wait to wear it.
Last is the Pixley Channing French Terry Hooded Cardigan. I am a sucker for a hood and I love jackets and cardigans but this one I just didn’t love. It’s way too tight in the arms and made the blouse underneath bunch up, and it’s too short as well… At least for me. I could request to size up, but I am really trying to only keep things I love and this one just doesn’t do it for me.
So although I like the majority of my box I am only keeping 2/5 and I still consider that a win. My goal is NOT to have a perfect box each time, but to have a box of great stuff I can choose from. I am ready to checkout and get my next fix date! I hope I can get another one fore we go to Disney in October. To see all the items I’ve kept from previous fixes you can visit my Pinterest board here. If you’re new to my blog, you might be wondering… What is Stitch Fix? Stitch Fix is an online personal styling service that will send you 5 pieces in a box. You pay a $20 styling fee up front in order for a stylist to choose pieces for you. Once the box arrives you can try everything on then choose what to keep. There is a 25% discount for keeping all 5 pieces. Before you get started there is a style profile you fill out so your stylist can know your preferences. You can choose to receive no jewelry like I have, or you can leave all the options open and receive clothes, jewelry, and/or an accessory each time. You can set up automatic shipments as frequently as every 2-3 weeks, or you can choose to do manual shipments and tell Stitch Fix when you’d like to receive a box. They also have a referral system where you can receive a $25 credit for every person who signs up through your link and purchases a fix. So really, even if you hate everything in the box, which I highly doubt you will, you’re only out $20. You can ship everything back with a prepaid envelope and choose whether to get another fix next month. If you leave detailed feedback about your items, keep your style profile updated, make a note about any upcoming special occasions or vacations, and link to your Pinterest, you’re bound to have a great fix!
