I am constantly searching for new recipes… I swear I make the same things over and over again. Spaghetti, tacos, steaks, hamburger steak, chicken this, chicken that, chicken whatever. I HATE trying to plan out meals. I am not creative in the kitchen at all. I can’t just go to pantry and throw a magical meal together. I have to know what I am buying at the grocery store ahead of time and then use a recipe or make something I have made 100 times before so it’s memorized. I have a huge food board on Pinterest and a smaller board where I keep track of recipes we’ve made, along with what I liked or disliked about them. I really enjoy recipes from Damn Delicious and Skinnytaste, but again, I hate taking the time to find something we’d like, write down all the ingredients, go to the store, etc. I am in a cooking rut and really want to get out of it by the time school starts in a few weeks. I want to cook more meals that my picky kids will eat… Healthier meals for all of us! I wish we had something like Dream Dinners here where I could go and pre-make several meals ahead of time. I wish I had the time to make freezer meals! Oh, I’m sure I HAVE the time, but if I do have a spare day to do anything, do I really want to spend it doing meal prep?!?! Maybe I should just hire a personal chef!
