I opened my Etsy shop about eight years ago when I fell in love with creating digital cards. After my first kiddo was born I wanted to send out a photo card for every occasion. I admit, it was probably a bit much, but it was so fun and obviously I wanted to share with everyone just how cute he was in all of his holiday outfits. I started out very small, just a few digital designs listed, because my skills were seriously lacking. I am self-taught with Photoshop and even now, years later, I can’t do everything I’d like to do. Even though it’s not a huge booming business now, I love what I do and I am fortunate enough to be able to stay home with my kids and help people create their perfect invitation in my spare time. I don’t have any negative feedback and over 1300 sales – I’d say that is a success!
My favorite part about the seller dashboard is the stats page. It lets me see which of my items listed are the most popular, what search terms are being used, and how people are getting to my listings. I love seeing which items are most popular because I can try to promote those even more in hopes of reaching a few more people. It never fails, during certain times of the year I have several items which are far more popular than others. For summer, here are the most popular items:
Of course, if you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for in my shop, you can always send a custom order request and I can create it from scratch!
