We are planning our first family trip to Disney World for October. It will be our boys’ first time to go and I am super excited! I cannot wait to see everything through their eyes and experience the magic with them. I have been planning for a few months now and there have been some tools that were crucial for me, so I thought I would share them.
First of all, I asked my friend Wendi to make me some Disney savings stickers I could use on a jar for us to all put money in. They turned out super cute and the kids are LOVING putting money in the jar. They don’t know we actually have it booked already, so I just keep telling them we are saving up so we can go one day. I will surprise them in August with the details. Wendi has a cute shop on Etsy where she sells her vinyl decals, earrings, accessories, and more, so if you’re interested in the Disney jar decals, check her out!
Next, I am addicted to the WDW Prep School blog. I have found SO much useful information on there! They have divided posts by month, park, city, etc. I have subscribed to all the posts about October at Disney World so now I am notified every time there is a change to anything happening at Disney World in October. If you’re looking for somewhere with a wealth of information, this is a one stop shop!
I also have a huge Disney themed Pinterest board and I am constantly pinning things I can read later. We are traveling with an 8 year old and almost 4 year old, so I need toddler-friendly activities, as well as things my 8 year old will enjoy. He is tall enough to ride almost every ride there, but I need something for the little one to do while we wait. The new rider swap system is something I hadn’t heard of until I started planning this trip, but I can see how it is going to be fantastic and work really well for us!
So far, Etsy has been a big help in my planning as well. I have found a lot of stickers for my Erin Condren planner, personalized t-shirts for my boys, a Hocus Pocus themed t-shirt for me to wear to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, etc. I am a big Etsy fan, so I am all about supporting small businesses!
As I continue to plan and find other helpful planning tools, I will definitely share about them in my blog so stay tuned!
