I first discovered subscription boxes in June 2014. Immediately I subscribed to several in order to figure out what boxes I liked best. I ended up canceling a few because they weren’t worth the price, but I have stuck with several and have added a few more in the recent months. Needless to say, I am addicted to subscription boxes! Most arrive around the 15th of the month and I love receiving each and every one and I can’t wait to see what is inside!
I started out with the POPSUGAR Must Have Box. This box comes every month and you can earn free monthly credits when your friends use your referral link. The items in the box range every month and are typically seasonal. A scarf or hat in the winter, sunscreen or towel in the summer, etc. The boxes are typically full of goodies worth over $100!
If you’re looking to try out POPSUGAR must have, please use my link and then be sure to share yours so that you can have referrals as well!
Next is FabFitFun, which is a quarterly box full of awesome goodies! So far I have only gotten one of these, but it was great. I received the Spring 2015 box which had a yoga DVD, lightweight scarf, nail polishes, coasters, etc. Lots of different items that are sure to please everyone.
I am a HUGE bookworm. I LOVE to read. I am always reading a book, whether it be an actual book, ebook, audiobook, or whatever. Very seldom to I take a break from reading. I have a library in my home where I am filling the shelves with books I have read and books that are waiting to be read. So when I heard about monthly book boxes I subscribed to as many as I could! Bookworm Box is AMAZING! Author Colleen Hoover started this subscription box and gives the proceeds to charity. She asks for donated books, bookmarks, pens, etc. and takes a huge portion of the proceeds every month and donates it to a different charity. A huge kicker here is that the books are SIGNED. This is one of my favorite subscription boxes!
I also get Uppercase Box YA, which sends books monthly along with a pen, bookmark, handwritten note, etc. These books are also signed, which is a great deal!
My husband loves to fish in his spare time and since I have a love for subscription boxes, he asked me to find him one for fishing. After doing some research, watching some unboxing videos, etc. I decided to try Mystery Tackle Box. This box lets you choose which type of fish you will be catching, so he chose bass. He has received 3 or 4 boxes and enjoyed every one! He is like a kid in a candy store opening it every month and immediately puts everything in his tackle box ready for his next fishing adventure.
Last, but certainly not least is Stitch Fix. This is THE BEST subscription service, especially for people who don’t live near a lot of shopping opportunities, or who are fashion challenged like myself. I live in jeans and a t-shirt… It’s easy! With 2 boys I am always needing to get dressed quickly to go somewhere, playing outside, going to baseball games, swim meets, etc. Most of the stores here have closed so that leaves very little shopping opportunities outside of driving 90 miles. I kept seeing ads for Stitch Fix on Facebook but finally broke down and tried it when a friend brought over her style cards for me to see. I signed up that night and haven’t looked back! I have my fixes set up to automatically come every 2-3 weeks, but you can choose every month, every other month, or manually decide when you want to receive a box. You fill out a style profile when you sign up with your sizes, design choices, what colors you like, whether you want to receive jewelry or not, etc. You can even link your Pinterest board and pin Stitch Fix clothes to it so your stylist can see what type of clothing you’re looking for. I have received several boxes so far and I am seriously in love with this service. I have a box scheduled for delivery the 24th so I will definitely be doing a post on that and show you all my goodies! Also, Stitch FIx has a great referral program. For every person who signs up through your link, you will receive $25 credit once their first fix ships. This is a great way to balance out the cost of your fixes!
